Winter Guest
Welcome to our winter wonderland! As a winter guest, you'll be captivated by the stunning beauty of the forest and river, all draped in soft blankets of snow. The serene silence creates a magical experience, perfect for exploring. Don’t forget to watch for tracks and sightings of deer and other wildlife around the cabin

The Santa Fe National Forest in the winter is where the magic of the season comes alive.
Enjoy the warmth of a roaring fire while sipping on a hot cup of cocoa, coffee, or tea and playing games with your family.
Just a friendly reminder for winter guests: be prepared for unexpected snowfall that could make roads impassable, so bring enough perishable food and essential items your entire stay. While there’s no grocery store in Pecos, two nearby dollar stores offer a variety of supplies.
The cabin is conveniently located just off NM Hwy 63. While the state does an excellent job of keeping the road clear during winter, be advised that shaded areas may remain icy, making the winding road potentially treacherous. We highly recommend bringing a four-wheel-drive vehicle and exercising caution as you make your way from the town of Pecos. If heavy snow is in the forecast and you're ready for a cozy stay, consider parking at the top of the driveway, off the highway, and walk down to enjoy the beautiful surroundings without the worry of navigating the icy driveway.
